RT4540 是一款白光 LED 驅動器，適用於以單節或雙節電池供電的 LED 燈條應用，可驅動包含六組並聯 LED 串的背光模組。其內建電流汲取器（Current Sink）可將各 LED 串間的電流失配控制在 ±2% 以內，提供優異的亮度均勻性。為確保電流汲取器具備足夠的操作餘裕，RT4540 的升壓控制器會監控回授腳位中的最低電壓，並自動調整至最佳輸出電壓，以提升整體電源轉換效率。RT4540 內建 I²C 介面，可用於控制調光模式、操作頻率及 LED 電流。內部整合 250mΩ、36V 功率開關，並採用電流模式控制架構，提供過電流保護功能。其切換頻率可於 100kHz 至 1.6MHz 範圍內調整，讓設計者能在效率與外部元件尺寸之間取得最佳平衡。RT4540 採用 WQFN-24L 3mm × 3mm、腳位間距 0.4mm 的封裝。
