RT7880T 是供 USB-C 型介面 PD 應用使用的 Buck-Boost 控制器和 USB TCPC 控制的結合體，其中之 Buck-Boost 控制器採用峰值電流模式控制架構，能以最大達 100W 的功率提供可程式控制的恒壓恒流模式輸出。為了支援替換模式的應用，其中集成了 USB PD 協定的實體層，有 7 個 GPIO 端子可用於高速切換開關或其他客戶需要的應用。它含有 Slave 模式的 I<sup>2</sup>C 介面，來自 USB-C 型埠控制器（TCPM）的TCPC 命令和客戶自訂的命令可通過它進行傳輸。</br>它具有完善的保護功能設計，其中包括電感峰值電流限制、VBUS 過壓保護、輸出欠壓保護、VCONN 電流限制保護。使用 RT7880T 可打造卓越的 USB PD 應用方案，元件數量少，PCB 設計也很簡單。
