RT8055為高效率的同步整流降壓型DC/DC轉換器，輸入電壓範圍從2.6V至5.5V，輸出可調範圍0.8V至5V，輸出電流至3A。內建的同步低導通阻的功率開關，增進了整體效率並減少了需要外加蕭特基二極體的必要性。切換頻率可由外部電阻進行設計。藉由近100%責任週期的操作提供了低壓差轉換的應用可有效延長掌上型裝置的電池使用壽命。電流模式操作與外部的補償機制可因應大範圍的輸出電容與負載變化的暫態回應進行優化的補償。RT8055強制操作在連續的PWM模式，大幅降低電壓漣波值與RF雜訊所造成的干擾。RT8055採用WDFN-10L 3x3與SOP-8 (裸露焊盤)的封裝規格。
