RT8080為高效率脈波寬度調變(PWM)的雙通道同步降壓型 DC/DC 轉換器。輸入範圍2.8V 至5.5V時，輸出電流可達1A。RT8080適用于由單一鋰電池供電的可攜式電子裝置，例如行動電話、PDA、PC WLAN卡與掌上型裝置。RT8080提供了兩種操作模式:PWM/低壓降自動切換模式與關機模式。內部的低R<sub>DS(ON)</sub>同步整流元件降低了操作在PWM模式的的導通損耗，不需外加蕭特基二極體於實際設計中。RT8080當PWM操作時無法連續導通上端P-MOSFET時，進入低壓降模式。當EN腳位為低電位時，進入關機模式，此時電流消耗小於0.1μA。由於操作在固定頻率1.5MHz，切換漣波可由較小封裝的元件進行濾波設計，RT8080採用WDFN-6L 2x2的封裝，可應用於小PCB的應用。其他功能包含軟啟動、2%精確度的參考電壓、過溫保護和過電流保護。
