RT8122為內建MOSFET驅動以及兩組LDO的雙通道輸出同步降壓型PWM控制器，具有綠能電壓模式(GVM™)的特點，可以在輕載狀態時達到高效率的表現。RT8122當在輕載狀態時，可藉由腳位設置自動操作在二級管仿效模式的固定導通時間PFM以降低切換頻率並改善電能轉換效率。當負載電流增加，RT8127脫離二級管仿效模式並操作在固定頻率的連續導通模式(CCM)。180°的錯相PWM控制可減少所需的輸入電容大小。RT8122支援4.5V至26V的輸入電壓範圍，並整合5V的LDO可供應給內部閘極驅動及控制器的電源需求。當通道1的降壓轉換器輸出電壓高於5V，供應電源會自動切換為內建的LDO供應5V的輸出。RT8122提供每個通道的 致能/關閉 功能、外部緩開機設計以及可調的切換頻率與電源良好指示功能，並採用無損耗的電感DCR電流感測技術的過電流保護功能。其它的保護功能包括過電壓、低電壓、過熱關機與過低電壓閂鎖功能。RT8122並支持 WQFN-28L 4x4 的小型封裝。
