RT8128A/C 是用於筆記型電腦的 CPU 內核、I/O 系統和 RAM 供電的高效 PWM 控制器，具有卓越的瞬態回應特性和高輸出電壓精度。特別設計的 Richtek Mach Response<sup>TM</sup> 技術對負載的瞬變過程具有 100ns 的“即時”回應能力，同時還能維持相對固定的開關切換頻率。與傳統的電流模式 PWM 相比，RT8128A/C 省略了對電流檢測電阻的需求，既降低了成本，又提高了效率。效率的進一步改善還表現在它所具有的驅動大型同步整流 MOSFET 的能力上，使之可以很高的效率直接將來自電池的高電壓轉換為系統所需的低電壓，可為 CPU 內核、晶片組、DRAM 和其它低壓元件提供低達 0.6V 的電壓。
