RT8162A 是集成驅動器的雙路單相 PWM 控制器，符合 Intel IMVP7 脈寬調製規範，可同時為 CPU 內核和 GPU 內核提供電源。它採用立錡專有的在有限增益補償固定導通時間控制模式基礎上發展起來的 G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup>(Green-Native AVP) 技術，容易設定，完全符合 Intel AVP(avtive Voltage Positioning) 移動 CPU/GPU 的需求。它通過 SVID 介面控制內部的8位元 DAC 對輸出電壓進行設定，該高精度 DAC 可將接收到的 VID 編碼轉化為 0~1.52V 的輸出電壓，級差僅為 5mV，系統精度可達 0.8%。根據 SVID 命令的要求，RT8162A 可工作在連續道統模式或二極體模擬模式，不同模式下的最高效率均可高達90%。其壓降特性（負載線）可通過誤差放大器的直流增益進行設定，利用適當的補償，其瞬態回應特性可根據 AVP 性能要求進行優化。輸出電壓的電壓/電流 變動率可通過 SVID 介面進行設定。它支援 DCR 和電阻電流檢測方式，提供 VR_READY 和熱量調節輸出信號供 IMVP7 CPU/GPU 使用，還具有過壓保護、欠壓保護、負壓保護、過流保護和熱關機保護等全面的保護特性。
