RT8165A 是集成了門極驅動器的雙通道單相同步 Buck 架構 PWM 控制器，與 Intel VR12/IMVP7 規格相容，有內建的串列 VID (SVID) 介面可用於與符合 Intel VR12/IMVP7 規格的 CPU 進行通訊，其差分遠端輸出電壓檢測功能和內建的高精度 DAC 相結合可得到精確的輸出電壓。RT8165A 支援 VR12/IMVP7 相容的電源管理狀態和 VID 動態改變功能，可工作在DEM模式（PS2時）和強制 CCM 模式（PS1/PS0時）這兩種管理模式之下。立錡專有的 G-NAVP™ (Green Native AVP) 使得 AVP (Active Voltage Postioning) 設計很容易實現並且非常穩定，借助該控制技術， DEM 和 CCM 模式的效率都得到了改善。RT8165A 內建的高精度 ADC 可用於平臺參數設定，諸如無負載電壓偏移量和過流限制值等參數都可通過該系統進行設定。兩路轉換器都有獨立的輸出準備好信號輸出。晶片還包括了完整的故障保護功能，其中包括過壓保護、欠壓保護、負壓保護、過流保護和欠壓鎖定等。RT8165A 的封裝式 WQFN-48L 6x6 。
