RT8170A 是符合 VR12.5 和 VR12.6 規格的集成了驅動器的單相 CPU 電源控制器，採用立錡特有的基於有限直流增益誤差放大器的電流模式控制架構的 G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> (Green Native AVP) 控制技術，具有易於設定的電壓電壓下降特性，符合所有 Intel CPU 對 AVP （Adaptive Voltage Positioning）性能的需求。 G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> 控制技術賦予 RT8170A 在面臨負載瞬變時的快速回應機制，可以優化 AVP 性能。RT8170A 可以不同的操作方式支援模式轉換功能，有內建的串列 VID 介面可與 VR12.5 和 VR12.6 相容的 CPU 進行通訊，並可以不同的電壓/電流 變動率支援 VID 的動態變化。利用 G-NAVPTM 控制技術的支持，即使工作在 CCM 模式下的 RT8170A 的工作頻率也可隨著 VID、負載電流和輸入電壓的變化而變化，以使效率達到最大化。在 G-NAVP<sup>TM</sup> 技術之外，還有 CCRCOT (Constant Current Ripple Constant On Time)技術在整個輸入、輸出範圍內提供極好的輸出電壓漣波指標。內建的高精度 DAC 轉換器將 SVID 編碼轉換為 0.5V~3.04V 的電壓，級差僅為 10mV。RT8170A 也集成了高精度的 ADC 用於平臺的基礎設定功能，可以設定無負載偏移量和過流保護閾值。它還具有 VR 準備好輸出信號，有包括過壓保護、欠壓保護、負壓保護、過流保護和欠壓閉鎖在內的完備的故障保護功能，其封裝為 WQFN-32L 4x4。
