RT8299A為高效率具有內部集成功率MOSFET的DC/DC單晶片同步降壓型轉換器，在輸入電壓範圍從3V至24V，輸出電流至3A的操作範圍內均有著良好的輸入電壓、負載變動調節率。RT8299A的電流模式操作提供快速的暫態回應與簡易的迴路穩定架構。逐週期形式的限流機制可在輸出短路時提供電路保護作用，緩啟動機制則可消除啟動瞬間的輸入電流湧浪的問題。熱關斷的保護機制提供了可靠的、容錯率高的操作情形。低電流消耗的關斷模式則可斷開與輸出的連接，實現簡易的電池供電系統中的電源管理。
