RT8577 是4通道的 LED 驅動器，每個通道的輸出能力高達 200mA 。它是一個輸入電壓範圍為 9V~28V 、可通過 RT 引腳對工作頻率進行 100kHz~1MHz 調節的電流模式 Boost 轉換器。</br>其 PWM 輸出電壓調節迴路選擇 LED 串電壓最高的通道的 LED 引腳作為電壓回饋點並使之穩定在 0.6V ，藉此確保各通道 LED 串電壓不一致的情況下仍能獲得穩定的電流輸出。RT8577 自動對各 LED 串進行開路、斷路檢測並自動斷開有問題通道的電路連接以避免輸出電壓 V<sub>OUT</sub> 出現過壓狀況。各 LED 通道的電流可通過一隻電阻進行設定，各通道之間的電流一致性誤差在1.5%以內。通過將 PWM 信號施加在 PWM 引腳上可以獲得具有極高對比的真數位 PWM 調光效果。</br>當出現不正常狀態如開路、短路和過熱時，一個狀態信號將被傳送給系統以實現關機進行問題處理的機會。
