RT9426是自帶微處理器的鋰離子/鋰聚合物電池電量計，可提供單節電池的電量資訊，可安裝于電池包內或是系統側的主機板上，實現對內置式或可更換式電池的管理。</br>RT9426使用VGCS (Voltaic Gauge with Current Sensing) 演算法利用電池電壓和電池開路電壓之間的差異計算電池荷電狀態的增加或減少，並利用電流檢測資料對計算結果進行補償，最終給出準確的電池荷電資訊。</br>VGCS演算法得出的SOC資訊是平滑變化的，不存在時間累積誤差和電流檢測誤差，這與庫倫計數法相比是一個優勢，後者會因電流測量誤差和電池自放電而導致電池荷電資料的偏差。</br>RT9426通過中斷告警功能提供完整的電池狀態監控，它能在電池過壓/欠壓、充放電過程中的電池溫度過高向主處理器發出報警信號。在電池高倍率充電應用中，它能採用Kelvin連接法消除電壓測量中的IR壓差效應，優化充電特性，確保充電安全。更多有用的報警功能包括：SOC下限報警、SOC改變、電池存在狀態改變。
