RT7257B為高效率的DC/DC單晶片同步降壓型轉換器，輸入電壓範圍從4.5V至18V，輸出電流至3A。RT7257B的電流模式架構與外部的補償機制可因應大範圍的輸入與負載變化的暫態回應進行優化的補償。逐週期形式的限流機制可在輸出短路時提供電路保護作用，緩啟動機制則可消除啟動瞬間的輸入電流湧浪的問題。此外RT7257B提供低電壓保護與熱關斷保護功能，低電流消耗(<3μA)的關斷模式則可斷開與輸出的連接，實現簡易的電池供電系統中的電源管理。RT7257B採用SOP-8(裸露焊盤)的封裝規格。
