The RTQ3700FH is a fully digital PWM controller for Voltage Regulators (VR) and can support up to 4 rails. The RTQ3700FH incorporates RICHTEK’s proprietary topology, a fully digital adaptive PID compensation loop, to achieve fast dynamic response and precise droop control. It is compatible with RICHTEK’s Smart Power Stage (SPS) to complete a multiphase VR solution with minimal external components, low power consumption, and low cost. The RTQ3700FH supports flexible phase assignment. The multiphase PWM firing sequence is programmable via the PMBus interface, which benefits the motherboard design and layout complexity. The RTQ3700FH adopts Smart Phase Management (SPM) technique with programmable current threshold and hysteresis to optimize system efficiency from light-load to full-load. The RTQ3700FH integrates an accurate analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for multiple signal telemetry, including system input voltage, input power, output current, and temperature of each rail. A Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) is embedded on-chip to store six groups of customized configurations. The RTQ3700FH also supports fault detection, including controller undervoltage-lockout (UVLO), VR output overvoltage protection (OVP), VR output undervoltage protection (UVP), and VR output overcurrent protection (OCP). The recommended junction temperature range is from -40°C to 125°C.
