The RTQ1962 is a stackable eFuse that integrates several power components to provide high-current and high-voltage circuit protection in a compact form factor. With a simple application circuit, it protects against overloads, short-circuit faults, excessive inrush current and input overvoltage.Start-up inrush current can be adjusted with a single external capacitor, and the active current limit during start-up with internal timer protects against start into short circuit. Steady state overcurrent protection with blanking timer and the fast overcurrent disconnect ensures robust protection while allowing transient overloads to pass through without disruption. Steady state overcurrent protection can be adjusted with a single resistor on the IMON pin.The RTQ1962 provides fast and accurate current monitoring (IMON/ILIM) that allows for real-time power management (such as PSYS and PROCHOT) for optimized system performance in stacked or standalone eFuse operations. MOSFET health monitoring and reporting provides predictive maintenance.Characterized to operate over a junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C and available in 5mm ×6mm package, the RTQ1962 is well suited for enterprise applications.
